Christie's handsome boyfriend Brad, is the first
doll to feature this new African American mold and the first AA male doll. Brad first came out in the late '60s just after Ken got his new look with a muscle built body. The markings on this head are in the back of the neck: © 1968 Mattel Inc Brad was released in two versions, the first one called only Brad - or Bendable Legs Brad and Talking Brad. He had the same body as Ken and that is the same used today on the male dolls. |
