OOAK Lappish Ken doll

Blue, red, yellow and green are the colors most Lappish Kolts are made of. They represent the colors of nature.

The blouse can be made in just about any fabric, depending on the use of the kolt. I have seen kolts for party, made of shimmery velvet, while they most often are made in a heavy cotton. There is no closure in the blouse, you just pull it over your head. It can be closed at the neckline with a silver brooch - often with a nice pattern carved into it - and with leaves or rombs hanging from it.

This doll outfit is made in a cotton fabric, with a reindeer leather belt. The pants are suede (probably also reindeer, even if they look very yellow) and of course his shoes are real reindeer leather with a "weaved" ribbon as tie. This weave is a simple braid, hard to weave such a narrow ribbon.
