Tommy®
Now isn't this just an a-dor-able little guy? Ken's little brother surprised the world and the Carson family when he arrived in 1997 in a wonderful set with his Big Brother Ken, both in a white and a black version. Little Tommy has rooted hair, the blonde in a straight pottycut kind of style and the dark little guy has a rooted afro style on top of his painted hair. The first Little Brother Tommy had the same headmold as the first Kelly dolls, with a slightly open mouth. Next year he was part of the Kelly Li'l Friends group, dressed in shorts and a T-shirt carrying his yellow shovel and bucket to the beach. He then had the face with the molded teeth. We are waiting for more Tommy dolls to appear, and more African American versions of this little cutie! Woohoooo. Tommy is getting a friend in 2001!!! A li'l boy named Ryan will come to play. A second and third Ryan was released in 2003 when Midge and her husband Alan reappeared on the dollshelves in their Happy Family. Why two? They came in both Caucasian and African American versions :-) |
