Kelly

This little darling entered the Roberts family as a circa twoyearold in 1995 and has taken the world by storm. She's just adorable! With her own BIG tiny wardrobe and the matching outfits for Barbie and her she is just a great add to any collection.

The first Kelly that came had a slightly open mouth to fit the formula bottle. Her friends had a different face with molded teeth, but not painted. The next year another face was added with a closed mouth and these three headmolds I say is the only three that really exists. All other is just variations of these, like the Potty Training Kelly face that is the no1 face with a real whole so she can drink from her bottle. This face sometimes looks a bit strange, but that has to do with the tube inside and how well the head fits.
The Dentist Barbie's little friend is said to have another face, but as I can see it, that is the face with the molded teeth grin and this time painted white (why go to the dentist if your teeth don't show?). The eyes are painted a little different like all the adult dolls' eyes are from 1997... A bit more almond shaped and less cartoonish.

Little Kelly can be found both as white and black and they are all cute as a cupcake! Shelly as she goes by in Europe only exists as a Caucasian little girl, couldn't ever get why the black dolls can't be sold here - I know I would buy them!

The very first little Babysister Shelly or later Bedtime Shelly smelled like baby powder and came with a lot of accessories and a baby crib.

The second doll was Bathtime Fun Kelly, still smelling baby powder. This little darling had a little bathtub filled with soap that she could splash and play with thanks to this "stick" in her back.

Pony Riding Shelly has come a long way from her diapers here, with her own pony to ride. This package was sold without a horse. She is sitting on a cardboard pony in the box.

Eatin' Fun Kelly that came with her high chair did or did not want to eat her meal, depending on which side of her spoon you fed her with.
