More gowns.

This dress started out in the broad ribbon I found in a store made of green and blue lamé with goldthreads inbetween. I looked in my boxes and trunks of fabric and found the blue silk to use for skirt. The blue/green ribbon was just the right width for a bodice - hardly anything left to sew in... I also waded through my bags of pearls and beads and made her a necklace. This outfit is perfect for Holiday Treats Barbie and her green and blue eyes.

Two more dresses with bodices made of broad ribbons. Marina to the left wears a purple dress of crinkled polyester with loose sleeves and bodice of a purple band with golden stars - or rather snowflakes.

PJ looks so pretty in her salmon-pink silk-dress. The silk-ribbon on this one is two-toned as can be seen. It starts out in the salmon-pink and ends in a forest-green color. The gloves - or loose sleeves are made from a salmon polyester that I also used for lining of the skirt as the silk is pretty see-through.

My "Escada"-gown.

I got this not so big hot pink raw-weaved silk that was perfect to use for a layered skirt. I cut it in three "bands" that I sew together and added a black velveteen bodice. Looks pretty good on my Weekend Marina, don't you think?
I tried to make a V-cut in front of the waist but have never really managed to get it as I want it. A lot easier on bigger dolls, like my daughter
