The Sunshine Fun Family and their black counterpart The Happy Fun Family core consisted of a Mom a Dad and a baby girl. They were made with a hard plastic body with poseable knees and faces with inserted glass eyes. The family expanded with Grandma and Grandpa, made with new head molds. All dolls had rooted hair.

The Sunshine's AA counterpart were called Happy, rather than Sunshine. Otherwise they are alike, even if not identical.
