The Lady Lovelylocks series predates Stacie and friends and was sold in the
second half of the 80's. Stacie and her friends later inherited the bodies
from these dolls. LLL originated in a tv series, very short lived, but the
dolls and their world is well loved by many. My dolls have also been well
loved and as they all are in hiding somewhere, I only have the first photos
I ever took of them, and they are dirty and messy. There are a number of
seven characters, in a few collections, Lady Lovelylocks herself, her friends
and enemies, who are Maiden Fairhair, Maiden Curlycrown, Prince Strongheart,
Maiden Goldenwaves, Maiden Mistycurls and Duchess Ravenwaves.
I am unsure how many sculpts Mattel used for these dolls. Michael
Augustyniak claims two, but I think three. I really need to find my dolls
and examine everything - and get their stamps.
