Creatable World was a short lived concept - as many of Mattel's specialty
series. These dolls are gender free and you could implement whatever you
wanted to them. The dolls all have the same features but come in an array of
skin and hair colors. They all have rooted hair, but in a short do. Each
doll come with a wig to give them longer hair. These wigs are not the best
as the rim is very visible. The thing is to put it on in a way, that the front
hair "hides" the edge. Not really doable. The (first) DeLuxe sets includes a
lot of fashions, shoes, hats, bags etc to mix and match. In the second
DeLuxe round the bag was omitted. There are also a few separate fashion and
wigs sets for more creative playtime fun.
First six sets was of the DeLuxe sets, then six boxes with single dolls were
seen - starter sets of the same dolls and yet another three DeLuxe sets plus
one rerun, with a bit of change in the box design. Simpler boxes.
