The Color Reveal Chelsea series got a couple new faces, made in hard
plastic. This is due to the color changing feature. The Mermaids has rooted
hair, hence regular soft heads, but when the whole doll is dipped in paint,
the head is made of hard plastic. So far the kids all have the same face
with the hair sculpted differently. These heads doesn't have any dates -
just as Barbie doesn't, so the copyright year is based on the whole body.
Wave 7 was party related and the kids came with a balloon. The set got an AA
boy dressed as a prince with a golden crown. He had a short cut curly fro.
