Barbie's inclusive universe grows each year and this doll was very
anticipated among collectors that has some connection to Down Syndrome,
wether themselves or a relative. Mattel teamed up with ndss (national
down syndrome society) when Fashionistas 208 was planned. This collab
resulted in a short, curvy girl with typical Down facial features, as well
as symbols of DS (the three arrows in her necklace), the flowers in her
dress representing the yellow and blue that is the official colors for DS,
and the leg braces many people with Down has to wear.
